"Revolutionising Sustainability for all"
National Youth Environment Conference (NYEC) 2024 is the 4th edition of this conference. It is a collaboration between Nan Hua High School’s sKy Leaders (students from the Talent Development Programme) and the Service Learning Club. NYEC's theme this year is "Revolutionising Sustainability for All". We strive to actively engage youths in discussions on various environmental issues via a Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, bringing together a diverse range of students with a passion for the environment and foreign affairs to create a sustainable future, while imbuing them with 21st century competencies such as critical thinking and persuasive speaking. The Model UN Conference allows students to put themselves in the shoes of world leaders and tackle current environmental issues together. The role-playing provides a great opportunity for students to better understand the big picture and also appreciate how they can play their part as individuals. As there is a compulsory pre-conference workshop for first time "MUN-ners", we warmly welcome students who have no prior knowledge on MUNs to take part as well. There will also be a learning journey for all delegates!
